Kristin is the heart and soul behind Orchid Lodge Samui. She personally interacts with all of her guests and makes it her mission to ensure that everyone feels welcome, cared for, and fully at ease. If there's anything you need during your stay, she's on it!
Kristin's passions go far beyond hospitality. She also leads our vibrant women’s ministry, where she serves and disciples women of all ages through Bible study and one-on-one spiritual mentoring. She truly lights up when she’s helping women to live healthy, fruitful, and purposeful lives that are in alignment with God's design.
With a gift for encouragement and a love for real personal connection, Kristin creates an unforgettable experience for all of her guests.

Mama is our loyal feline and catriarch. Although she doesn’t like to be cuddled, she loves sitting by your feet, following you around, and just simply being near people. She is our unofficial security guard, as she likes to sit by the front gate or on the entrance walkway to observe guests coming in and out, but her security effectiveness is highly questionable. She is the Mama to Daisy, which is how she got her name (clever, we know).

Daisy is 3.5kgs of pure ginger cuteness and mischievousness. She is sweet, gentle, and loves attention and people. She’s our little hunter girl who loves to chase geckos, squirrels, flying insects, and anything else that moves. Although we provide her with plenty of fresh water, she seems to prefer drinking water out of the swimming pool. Daisy is super friendly with guests, talkative, and loves to cuddle.

Although Pepper is the largest and oldest of the three, this chunky boy is a literal scaredy cat, and it takes him a while to warm up to new people. He has a big appetite, so you'll likely find him waiting around by the food bowl area. When he's not eating, he loves to follow our gardener, Myo, around the property throughout the day, keeping him company.

The Orchid Lodge Samui is in the quieter southeast region of the island away from the crowds and traffic. We are located between the popular beach town of Lamai and the small local Thai village of Hua Thanon.
The Orchid Lodge Samui is tucked away on a hill in a private residential area, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. Our surroundings are very quiet and peaceful, and there is no outside street traffic, allowing the property to remain private, but with easy access to the main road at the bottom of the hill.

We strongly advise our individual booking guests to use some form of transportation for getting around (motorbike, car, or taxi), as the hill to our property may be quite challenging for some guests to walk.
Just let us know your needs and we can help to coordinate your preferred mode of transportation. The Grab & InDrive rideshare applications are available for calling your own taxi.
There is free guest parking in front of the property.
For your convenience, at the bottom of the hill, there is a self-service laundromat, a Tops Daily convenience store, an ATM machine, a currency exchange booth, and several restaurant options.
